Robert Davies
Tetra Tech
Mr. Robert Davies is a Chartered Resource Geologist with 14 years of experience in the mining industry, having worked globally across all phases of mining projects including scoping studies, prefeasibility, feasibility and operations.
Mr Davies is routinely engaged in a range of projects involving exploration, QA/QC programmes, database management, geological interpretation, geostatistics, block modelling and mineral resource estimation.
Mr Davies has authored numerous JORC, NI 43-101 & PERC compliant Technical Reports as well as due diligence assessments for project/ portfolio acquisitions & disposals.
In addition to resource geology, Mr Davies has also managed numerous mineral exploration campaigns, and has provided advice and guidance on exploration strategy for precious metal, base metal, iron ore and industrial mineral projects. Projects include both early stage greenfield prospecting and infill drilling for improved resource classification/ mine life extensions.
Geometallurgy, Modelling Value.
Conventionally, in-situ metal content is used to drive open pit or stope optimisation and mining schedules. This approach maximises metal throughput for a given plant capacity. Tetra Tech has developed a geo-metallurgical methodology in order to optimise and schedule deposits for maximum cash flow benefit. This alternative approach has the advantages of de-risking projects through improved ore body knowledge and maximising the financial performance of assets. Geometallurgy is particularly beneficial when applied to low grade marginal and complex polymetallic deposits.
