Can Small be beautiful? Ending our Addiction to Scale - Introducing the Horizon2020 IMP@CT Project
Geo-political instability, de-globalisation, trade tariffs, resource scarcity (even potentially conflict) and lower grades. The mining community, particularly here in Europe, must address our addiction to scale. Going forward we must find creative solutions to leverage Europe’s mineral wealth and bring onto balance the small, complex but often high grade deposits located across the continent. The European Union Horizon 2020 IMP@CT Project has been funded to develop sustainable, selective & low impact mining of such deposits.
