This presentation will discuss the importance of incorporating exploration and site geological observations (such as surface and underground mapping and cross sections) into geologically realistic 3-dimensional models for use in grade control and resource estimation. A case study from recent modelling efforts at the Sasa Pb-Zn-Ag Mine will be presented to demonstrate how traditional geological data sources and observations can be fully integrated into models using modern techniques.
